	Sunday, March 10 MOON OVER RAKKASAH, kicking off the Rakkasah West 2013 Festival I'll be teaching FABULOUS FOUR YARD VEILS from 12-1pm as part of this fun day of short workshops. 	March 30, 2013 2nd Annual DANCE INK DAY at Redwood Raks This popular marathon-style community showcase of many dancers in our area is a benefit event for The Ink People Center for the Arts. 	Mid-April, 2013 HSU DANCE CONCERT A showcase of student and faculty work, held at the JVD Theater at Humboldt State University. This year I am happy to include a piece of choreography in the performance. Dates are April 4-6, and 11-13 at 7:30 pm with one Matinee April 7 at 2:00 pm
	April 20-21, 2013 GEMS OF THE SOUTH COMPETITION Shoshanna is delighted to visit Atlanta, Georgia for the first time as a guest judge and workshop teacher at this fabulous new event produced by Mina of Dallua Dance Company. It will be held at the Double Tree Atlanta in Atlanta, GA, and features performance categories for dancers of all ages, styles, and sizes! More info: www.dalloua.com.
	April 27, 2013 INTA OMRI: 15 Years of Shoshanna's Ya Habibi Dance Company Experience everything from elegant Egyptian Raks Sharqi solos to contemporary electronica Tribal Fusion in this celebration of the last 15 years of Shoshanna's dance company. She first began the Lailaa Chandani Dance Ensemble in high school, really launching it through the HSU Middle Eastern Dance Club. When she graduated in 2003, her company became renamed the Ya Habibi Dance Company and became a community group. Come enjoy this glimpse back at some of our choreographies over the years and also be treated to special guests. This showcase will be one show only, at the JVD Theatre at Humboldt State University!

	Early May, 2013 FREE THE BEASTS: A choreography showcase at Redwood Raks Concieved by local dancer Stephanie Carter, this is a chance for choreographers to free that inner beast that must
	May 14-26 SILK ROAD MELODY FESTIVAL 2013 I am especially honored to be on the teaching staff of this 2nd annual festival, which will take place across China. I will be teaching and performing in Guangzhou, China and in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia! This event will host 9 teachers from 6 countries, visit 4 top cities in Asia, and will have 50 workshops totaling 150 hours of instruction. Also, there's a competition with wonderful prizes!
